The 9U Turbos played in the AAU President Day Warm Up Tournament in Ramona this past weekend. The team did really well considering they were missing a few of the regular starters. The 9U Turbos ended up losing in the Championship game 5-1 to the Longhorns. They went undefeated until the last game of the tournament. The team had great pitching from Rafa Iribe, Omar Vega, Christian Olave and Aaron Casillas. they only gave up 11 runs the entire tournament and the team had their first complete shutout. The 9U Turbos are improving everyday through dedication and the ability to play sound fundamental baseball.

Saturday:
1st game:  Turbos 11-0 vs Longhorns 8U
2nd game:  Turbos 7-1 vs Ramona Bulldogs

Sunday:
Semi Final: Turbos 10-5 vs Ramona Bulldogs
Championship Game: Longhorns 9U 5-1 vs Turbos


SPRING TRYOUTS UNDERWAY

The San Diego Turbos will have ongoing open tryouts in January for teams playing in the Spring and Summer Season. We are looking for 8th graders to replace its 9th graders that will start J.V high school baseball in February and also players for our 12U an 13U teams. The Turbos play in local baseball leagues and monthly tournaments.
