The 9U Turbos went 2-1 this weekend at the San Diego Blues Christmas break tournament finishing 2nd seed the first day of qualification and losing in the semi-final to La Jolla Fury/Owls 8-5. On Saturday the 9U Turbos defeated San Diego Swarn 10-6 with great pitching by Elijah Bembischew and Omar Vega. The second game the 9U Turbos played a complete game on Defense/Offense and fundamental baseball beating the Hustle 14-2. The offense began the game with 10 batters coming up to the plate in the first inning, putting up 6 runs. Although the 9U Turbos fell one game short of the championship, the little Turbos are playing competitive baseball against teams that are hand picked for tournaments. The progression of the team is moving forward towards being able to play complete games in all aspects of a baseball game.

TURBOS 9U FUNDRAISER

The 9U Turbos are holding a carwash fundraiser on January 16th at the CVS Pharmacy on 880 3rd ave Chula Vista next to the Vons from 8am to 2 pm. The money raised will be used for team equipment, jerseys and future tournaments. Please come by and support our organization. Click Here for the flyer.

SPRING TRYOUTS UNDERWAY

The San Diego Turbos will have ongoing open tryouts in January for teams playing in the Spring and Summer Season. We are looking for 8th graders to replace its 9th graders that will start J.V high school baseball in February and also players for our 12U team. The Turbos play in local baseball leagues and monthly tournaments.
